I have some news that may be of particular interest to some or all of the authors of this blog. I am certainly excited about this update of equipment and plan on putting it to good use this Thursday, either before of after I beat about 1000 balls. The Treasure Lake Silver Course is now in possession of a brand-spanking new range-ball picker! believe it. It is so new, that nobody had even tested it out yet. TJ suggested that I be the first to use it, ON the clock of course.
This is big news! I saw it up there on Saturday when I got neither a call nor a reply about possibly playing golf with a certain David King lol, but that's neither here nor there. I'm sure that we can put this new picker to good use.I for one always look forward to seeing how deep of ruts I can put in the ground on that hill behind the 250 yard sign. Drew and myself also debated whether or not the Mac or Chuck built the new contraption. I voted Chuck but Drew reminded me that Chuck is a woodworker and its the Mac is the real Iron monger.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why this brand new contraption was purchased, seeing as how i'm the one who picks that damn thing the most, and it is management's life mission to not let my job get any easier or be open to any convenient shortcuts. But nonetheless, in the words of Mclovin' "IIIII have a boner." This is awesome, i'm sure Johnny Kane will find someone to smash this baby up though, just to break it in of course. And any new addition to the equipment, landscaping, or any other infrastructure at either course is always on account of the chuckster's doing, so my guess is this was his winter project.

ReplyDeleteHell yes! I think its gonna be nice towards the end of the week so i'll have to make my way up. From that last comment i see it might be hard to reach you via cell phone so i'll try this ingenious blog, facebook, myspace, twitter, or some other social networking site. Or just take my chances and go up. Is the range finally open?

I used the new picker today, first person ever to use it. a few thoughts
ReplyDelete1: hard as HELL to hook up
2: 10 baskets! thats too many
3: Zero turning radius (better make long passes or it'll take forever)
4: twice the size as the old picker, but only picks up half the balls. . .so no improvement.
5: hard as HELL to unhook
conclusion; the money could have been better allocated in my opinion.
